SCHOOL PROJECT WITH TATA

Tata is how my kids call my mom, she is an incredible artist and loves anything that has to do with arts and crafts. I thought of an idea for the twin's class, which was to do a school project with an invited guest. I ran it by the school and they loved the concept. The first thing that came to mind was to ask my mom to do a special class of arts and crafts, where the kids could enjoy an activity filled with arts and creativity, I really wanted her to get involve in this project. I was pretty sure the twins, as well as the rest of the kids, would love it. My mom was eager to do it, so we scheduled the class in advanced so she could be there, because she lives in the other side of the world.

She did some research and came up with the idea of having a body made out of paper, along with different printed papers to make clothing for the kids to dress the body any way they wanted, this way they would use their imagination and style. They would also choose a print for the background and add stickers to decorate. For the finishing touch we would help them put it in a frame so it could be displayed in the art gallery for the end of the school year show.

My mom really took her time to cut out each and every piece of clothing, such as tops, skirts and dresses for the girls, shirts, pants and shorts for the boys. She also cut out some yarn to make their hair. It all came out really amazing.

The kids where very happy with the project, they had a lot of fun and we got to see how they used their imagination to create each and every detail about their art piece.
