MY STORY | WE ARE HAVING TWINS

The second time I I did In Vitro I felt completely different, I was so positive, confident and felt that this was my time.

By coincidence and to my surprise, the day of the transfer fell a day before my birthday, I felt so much love and positive energy around me. I knew that I had gone through the worst and it could only get better from there.

After anxiously waiting for 10 days, I did the pregnancy test and came back positive! A couple of days later I went in for my first ultrasound; as I was laying in the doctor's office, next to my husband, the doctor told us that indeed we were pregnant again, but this time it was twins!

When I heard the news I couldn't believe it, yet it felt so perfect. We were excellent people and deserved not one, but two babies, everything was making sense now. After all our suffering this was our gift, our two little miracles.

My husband did not take it the same way, of course he was excited, but at the same time he was in complete shock. We left the doctor's office and he didn't say a word, it was really funny, I knew that I had to let him process the news at his own pace. 5 days latter, rarely talking about the twins, he got home and said "OK I'm ready, let's start planning!"

Around that same time we were searching for houses on the market, as we lived in a small apartment and wanted to move to a bigger place to start our family. We were looking for old houses to remodel, so we knew that it would take some time to move. We put in an offer, and a week after finding out we were having twins, we got a call from the realtor telling us the seller accepted our offer. It was amazing, everything was falling exactly into place.

My pregnancy was perfect! Although, since it was twins, we had to go to a lot of checkups throughout the whole pregnancy.

I kept calm, planed the nursery, remodeled our new home, did a lot of yoga…I felt so excited, happy and blessed

We even went away for a weekend to Marco Island, where we had a baby moon vacation.

Every morning I would wake up with so much joy, plus everyone around me, especially my husband, were spoiling me 24/7.

At 37 weeks I went in for a regular check up in the morning, but the doctor made me stay because I had high blood pressure and we could not take any risks. I couldn't believe it, it was really happening! On the other hand my husband, again, freaked out, he thought he had a few more week to enjoy life without kids LOL.

Natural birth was out of the question, as one of the twins was in breech position, so we started preparing for the C-Section.

That same Monday, September 23, 2013 at 8:41 PM, I gave birth to Alejandro and one minute later at 8:42 PM, Moises was born.

The emotion was indescribable, I was by far the happiest person in the world!
